Place print areas

A print area is a place on the product that can be printed: the front, the back, a sleeve. Each one has its own canvas in the designer, its own place on the model, its own print size and its own price.

Add the print areas

  1. Open 3Designer → Products and click Edit on the product.
  2. Under Print areas, click Add area.
  3. Choose a Print area name, such as Front, Back, Left sleeve, Pocket or Hood. Custom… lets you type your own.
  4. Click Save product.

Put each one on the model

  1. Open 3Designer → Designer, choose the product and open the print area.
  2. In Print placement (admin), click Place on model, then click the model where the print should sit.
  3. Fine-tune it with Position X, Position Y, Size, Depth, Angle and Spin. Reset starts again.
  4. Click Save placement.

Set the real print size

Back on the product, set Print width, Print height and Unit (mm, cm or in). Print file then shows the size in pixels your print files will have at the product’s Print DPI.

The canvas shoppers design on, Design width (px) and Design height (px), must have the same shape as the print. If it does not, you see Proportions don’t match and a button that fixes it in one click.

Set the price

Extra price is added to the product’s price when the shopper designs this print area, in your shop’s currency. An area the shopper leaves empty costs nothing, and WooCommerce works out the tax as usual.
